This walk seeks to offer a nuanced view of some well-known, historical characters, events and institutions, to demonstrate that there are two sides (at least) to every story and that the past is seldom binary.
This tour is aimed at those with an interest in, and some knowledge of, English history (especially political and imperial history), this could include school students studying “A” level history, history societies and tourists.
Duration: Approximately.2 hours
Level: Generally easy flat walking but with some cobbles.
