London Clubland
‘A London Club is a home away from home, provided your home has servants, silence and no women” - Anon

This walk covers social, political and even fictional clubs, their members (male and female) and the stories and scandals that emerge from behind the entrance halls. Discover the models for some of the most famous clubs in English literature, the Drones, home from home for Bertie Wooster, the Bear Garden, where Trollope’s characters drank, gambled and gossiped and the stately Diogenes Club where conversation is forbidden.
